Leadership Forum Keynote Address
- Date: Thursday, November 1, 2007
- Time: 6:00 PM
- Location: Plecker Workforce Center auditorium
The Nu Alpha Chapter is honored to invite the entire BRCC community to an evening with former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger (under George H. W. Bush) in the Plecker Workforce Center Auditorium starting at 6:00 PM. His keynote message will 1) address the current leadership crisis that affects all levels of government and business and 2) recommend how college students can embrace the right kinds of leadership that will bring government and American business closer together to ensure both security and prosperity in today’s changing global markets. A short Q&A session will follow.
Biography
Although Mr. Eagleburger retired after 27 years in various diplomatic roles across more than four presidencies, he remains as relevant as today’s news. He still receives constant requests for his straight-talk current affairs commentary. Recently, he participated in a White House meeting of former Secretaries of Defense and Secretaries of State to discuss United States foreign policy with Bush administration officials. Then, he replaced Secretary of Defense designate Robert Gates in the Baker-Hamilton Iraq Study Group and assisted in delivering the Commission’s findings in December 2006.
